HYDRATE Vitamin C Serum

It’s loaded with skin-friendly oils that brighten the complexion, reduce fine lines, enhance collagen production, and, lastly and most importantly, seal and protect the skin barrier. This lightweight formula helps lock moisture in and just feels great on the skin!
The benefits of using a vitamin C serum include powerful topical antioxidants and improved skin brightness and firmness due to increased collagen production. Antioxidants eliminate free radicals that cause wrinkles and clogged pores, reduce collagen breakdown, and keep us youthful. The brightening effect of vitamin C helps even out skin tone, brightens dark spots, and treats hyperpigmentation and acne scars.
I chose the form of vitamin C (tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate) because it’s an ester C, the most stable and nonirritating, with a pH of <5. I add vitamin E to the formula so that the C is more effective.
A common vitamin C used in skincare is L-ascorbic acid because it’s a very natural form of C, but it can be very irritating for sensitive skin. It’s also highly unstable as soon as light or air hit it and people end up using rancid vitamin c products which in turn cause damage.
I added Co Enzyme Q 10 to this formula because it is a very important ingredient for antioxidants, energy production, and enzyme activation. It's a co-factor needed for the production of collagen. By acting like a co-enzyme, it minimizes the breakdown of collagen and increases collagen synthesis. It’s an enzyme that comes in and helps to boost the production of collagen by creating ATP, which is energy in the cells, and by activating other enzymes to wake up and increase collagen production.

Squalane Oil- Squalane naturally occurs in the lipids of our skin, and Squalane instantly hydrates! Squalane is a powerful emollient that helps soften and smooth your skin, locking in moisture. It is absorbed quickly and easily without leaving behind an oily residue. Many people who are acne-prone love squalane oil!
Prickly Pear Cactus Oil- is known for its high concentration of antioxidants, helping to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and acne. Rich in essential fatty acids for a hydrated, youthful, glowing skin.
Coq10 - A powerful antioxidant that is fat-soluble and found in human cells. Which helps to brighten, reverse sun damage, promote collagen production, repair, and regenerate skin.
Milk Thistle Seed Oil- An excellent source of silymarin known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Silymarin's anti-inflammatory properties soothe and calm the skin, reducing redness and irritation. It protects the skin from oxidative damage and premature aging.
Sea Buckthorn Oil- High in vitamins C, A, and E, rich in gamma-linolenic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid that aids in blood circulation and reduces signs of aging.
Neroli- Known for its antimicrobial, antifungal, and antioxidant properties. Which may help reduce acne breakouts and skin irritation. It helps to fade dark spots and maintains moisture.

Usage: Use daily on the face and neck. I don’t use this at night as I let my skin “breathe” and balance itself out during sleep. Then, in the morning, I either just splash my face with water or use a moisturizing toner. Next, apply vitamin C serum and mineral-based broad-spectrum sunscreen if you're into that.
