Gut Mend Tea
These days, I see many guts that need mending, including mine. So many modern foods, pesticides, and lifestyle practices can lead to gut dysbiosis and leaky gut. The herbs in this powerful tea blend help with irritation and digestion functions while promoting the integrity and repair of the gut lining.
When you take these herbs in tea form, they come into direct contact with the gastrointestinal lining and cover a large area.
Soothing, demulcent, and vulnerary herbs help with digestive stress, acid reflux, ulcers, leaky gut, gas, bloating, and more.
Vulnerary herbs such as calendula and plantain help to speed up mending processing and improve the integrity of the gut lining.
The demulcent herb marshmallow root in this formula helps to soothe and coat irritated, damaged, and inflamed guts. The mucilage helps to form a mucus-like barrier on the gut to help it repair. Mucalige also feeds the gut flora.
This tea is dubbed as a sore throat/cough tea. My son loves it for a soothing a dry hacking cough.
Marshmallow root is rich in mucopolysaccharides, which are soothing and sealing and help feed the beneficial bacteria in the gut. Promotes and balances a healthy intestinal lining.
Calendula is soothing, vulnerary, and anti-inflammatory.
Plantain is demulcent, vulnerary, astringent, and anti-microbial.
Fennel is gentle and soothing, helping with digestive issues like pain, gas, and bloating.
Clove is antimicrobial and pain relieving. Promotes good digestion and reduces inflammation.
Star anise pod is antimicrobial, and carminative(helps with gas).
