Gut Mend Tea
These days, I see a lot of guts that need mending, including mine. So many modern foods and lifestyle practices can lead to gut dysbiosis and leaky gut. The herbs in this tea blend help with irritation, soothe, help digestion function, and promote the integrity and repair of the gut lining.
Soothing, demulcent, and vulnerary herbs help with digestive stress, acid reflux, ulcers, leaky gut, gas, bloating, and more.
When you drink tea, it comes into direct contact with the gastrointestinal lining.
Vulnerary herbs such as gotu kola, calendula, and plantain help to speed up mending processing and improve the integrity of the gut lining.
The demulcent herb marshmallow root in this formula helps to soothe and coat irritated, damaged, and inflamed guts. The mucilage helps to form a mucus-like barrier on the gut to help it repair. Mucalige also feeds the gut flora.
The tea is absolutely delicious, even without honey to sweeten it! I enjoy drinking it at night. It's soothing for acid reflux or after-dinner indigestion. The demulcent herbs are also anti-inflammatory for soothing the gut.
This tea dubs as a sore throat/cough tea. My son loves it for a soothing a dry hacking cough.

Plantain is demulcent, vulnerary, astringent, and anti-microbial.

Star anise pod is antimicrobial, carminitave.
Ingredients: Organic Marshmallow Root, Organic Calendula Flowers, Organic Plantain Leaf, Organic fennel, Star Anise Pod, Organic Clove
Usage: 1 Tablespoon of dried herb to 1 cup of hot water. Let brew for 20 minutes or longer. Add raw honey if you like.
